About Us
Craftsmanship, beauty, heritage
Classic Yacht Holdings was founded in 2023 by David Cassidy, an avid sailor who began racing in dinghy's at 5 years old. With over a decade of experience within the luxury yachting industry, Mr Cassidy recognised a demand to preserve the heritage and beauty of classic wooden sailing yachts and to showcase the best of classic yacht sailing experiences in the French Riviera.
In 2022 Mr Cassidy stumbled upon S/Y Skål, a 1930's Philip Rhodes designed cutter. S/Y Skål was in a sad state of disrepair and neglect. The desire to save Skål was the catalyst for this journey to restore classic wooden yachts and provide unforgettable classic sailing experiences.
Classic Yacht Holding's mission is to showcase the adventure of sailing while ensuring these magnificent vessels continue to grace the seas for centuries to come. Join us as we celebrate maritime history and luxury sailing experiences like no other.
